The rotary engine powering the generator would be very smooth. Small piston engine powered generators tend to be shakers. A rotary engine would need a substantial muffler system. |

Johannahon, a rotory engine is extremely efficent when spinning at the right RPM. They are not so ecomonical in cars because they lack low down torque, so you have to rev them a bit more to get the power. For use as a generator, it should be more efficient than a conventional engine. |

A rotary engine that is economical? they are renowned for being gazguzzlers in cars like the mazda rx7...Even in a hybrid I have my doubts they would be the best option. I'd love to see how they achieve that, then I'm rebuilding my car in a minute :-D |
