It did not take long for BMW to get the Concept Gran Turismo into full production and as I opined for that car, I think it will do quite well. At 2060 Kgs it certainly is very heavy and I wonder if the inline 6 cylinder option is up to the task - maybe the diesel and V8 engines are the way to go. The eight speed gearbox looks like an engineering masterwork and probably will aid the straight six engine do the job. It looks beautifully made and finished and I am interested to see how much they will cost and if they will be imported downunder. |

BMW is not defining a brand new market segment, they just looked at how popular the Mercedes CLS line which was introduced in 2004. |
