"What I am about to write is absolutely no BS.Tuesday 12/11/2002 a very good friend drove it, I was following in another car.The car he tested was supposed to be a Clio V6 MKI with the rear train of the MKII, the gearbox of the MKII and an engine evolution at 240hp...That was what the employees of Renault told us(the garage where the Clio V6 was directly belongs to Renault)...What a joke !!!!! The gearbox was really the new version, the supposed MKII rear train was one of the most unstable I have ever seen and without a dyno chart I don't know if the engine really produces 240hp.The car was jumping on the road, sometimes loosing grip...And the most funny, the new gearbox which had been changed the week before was badly changed and refused to work after 40km of testing.I think some Renault workers drove the car like Mad Max in the morning, but anyway this is no excuse !!! The only really pleasant thing about this car is the delicious sound of the engine, it is a wonder.I will never buy it.Hopefully, a professional driver told me last week that the new version is ""a good car"" (he works for Audi...).I will never buy a MKI, never.""" |

I really wonder, what if they decided to make a World Rally Car out of this silver bullet. Try to imagine it with a middle mounted 4 cilynders 2000 cc turbo engine and AWD! Battling with 206 WRC, Focus WRC and Impreza WRC ...Oh my, I'm drooling! |
