Over Restored? |
AERO_HDT 06-29-2010 |
I really don't think that there is anything wrong with extreme restorations, especially when they're done to compete in such events. I'm not big on the Frua Spider as I think it looks too muscular (more than an AC and miles more than a similar period Ferrari), but if it had've been nothing more than a well-cared for survivor car, I think it would probably never be noticed and never seen. I think the colour choice was off though... surely there are better period palettes than such a common blue? |
Colour Reversed |
Kiwieb 06-27-2010 |
the article says: "....Although it arrived at Frua early in 1955, it was not completed until the fall of 1956. It was finished in creme-white with black stripe down the middle." All I can say is who was the half-wit who reversed the far superior and original colour scheme? ....and surely this devalues the restoration? |
A6G |

A beautiful restoration, though I agree it probably was never quite this good when it originally left the coachworks. The A6G series has got to be my favorite of the classic Maseratis. Cheers |

Beautiful, but over-restored. All her historical marks are gone... |
