 I must say that I like this body size and the styling execution. It is a vehicle Audi must push forward, and it is a vehicle I will stand in line to acquire. The "Audi" message is clear, and the basic features spectacular: 5-cyl motor(!), DCT, AWD, Sedan, LED headlights,...

Even with all those features and extra sound muffling required to be a modern quiet Audi, I so wanted to see that the weight could be lower for a smaller car like this one. And it appears, they really worked at it, using special materials in interesting ways.

Maybe the new "Light" is 3,400lbs?

"Electric hand brake" is disappointing. What happened to the driver aid?, the addition control input?, the working lever in the center console? This thing will be just an on/off parking lock, but useless (and no fun) in the snow or ice.

Am I understanding this correctly?

 not that I am a big fan of Audi, but honestly speaking - Audi was the first one to introduce thisk kind of grille (around 2004), while the first Mitsu concept with such a grille appeared only in 2007.

I agree that by the time the new A3 reaches produciton it will look very unassuming - but this is just Audi style. However their current A4 is in my opinion their best looking sedan so far.

 By the time it reaches product, it'll look like any other fastback sedan with a Mitsu grill...
