What happened to the company that made some of the best true sports cars in the world. Yes, I understand that the SUV market has generated some great profits for the company. Yes, the new 911 is a wonderful automobile, but it's not a great Porsche. Everything on the new 911 has little computers helping the driver. What happened to the Porsches that required driver involvement? I'm pretty sure that if asked, many of the fans of the marque would say, the 993 was the last real Porsche. My '95 993 was a wonderful sports car, and, in my view, the last of the real Porches that held to the original vision of the founder. |
