"Johnwolfson, you can get a Jalpa in ""Top Marques"" magazine, costing about &3.70. Look for a Jalpa and they cost about &12,000. I'm glad to be of service!"

Just a quick word from me. There's a much better version of pretty much the same car in existence. It's made by DeTomaso (sorry, I can't remember the model name). It was the EXACT same body with uprated rear suspension and a FANTASTIC American V8 in the back, which I believe was the 5.7 but I'm not sure. Anyway, I know it was pushing out well over 350hp, so that's a flying machine with the same looks, and a better noise!
 You want one of these?

Anyone notice that Rocky drives this in Rocky IV? It is a black one, he drives it after Apollo dies. I have always liked this car, anyone know where I could get one?
 Not bad for the 80s

This is not a very flattering picture of a Jalpa... In real life it's a very elegant car and has nice lines to it. It does resemble the DeTomaso Pantera a little too much for it to be a coincidence though. Back in the 80s there wasn't a lot of originality I guess.

"This car was designed with economy in mind. However it did not dissapoint with a 0-60 time comprable to the Testarossa, and this was done in the 80's when automakers had to become gas conscious thanks to OPEC, causing a great loss in horsepower, and yet they were able to make 255. I think this was a very good car, although it has tarnished the ""Supercar"" lamborghini name a bit. """
