| Need a Championship for Hypercars |
| PST 03-12-2018 |
Valid points by Cobrafan427, though I have a slightly different take on the matter. Why not transform the World Endurance Championship to include a category for Hypercars? We see so many of these hypercars at motor shows but then they disappear. I'd like to see them on track in a professional championship. It's only there where the public actually gets to see the professed capabilities of these machines. |

Instead of putting in the effort to build 25 of these and selling them to the mega-rich where they'll maybe be driven once or not at all, it'd be much better to see Aston Martin focus on turning this into a DPi car, which it kind of resembles. If a manufacturer like Aston jumps into that category, it might spur other manufacturers to pull the trigger and do the same. That would give the DPi more credibility internationally and get the ACO to incorporate it into Le Mans when LMP1 eventually dies |
