| Most powerful GT |
| Corvette_C6R 02-18-2007 |
the most powerfull GT (now GT2) ever, in its lone season in the ALMS (2001), it knocked out the all conquering 996 RS, after that the ACO changed its GT regulation so this car was baned. in 2004 and 2005 it won overall the 24 Hours of Nurburgring and done a great race at the FIA GT's Spa 24 Hours (2004) it still racing now in diffrent national championships, such as the Dutch Super Car Challenge as well the Dubai 24 Hours |
| What a shame! |

What a shame that BMW withdrew their works car from the ALMS. It made a nice difference from the Porsches in the GT class and it was such a competitive car. But the organisers had to spoil it by making such harsh restrictions on BMW's engine which gave Porsche an unfair advantage. It's no wonder BMW left as a works team but that's the fault of the organisers' not BMW's. |
