The new Audi Rosemeyer takes most of its styling cues from this car. Evidently it shares the same number of cylinders. For it's day, this was an incredibly powerful car.

I happened to get a load of bellowing noise of the glorious V16 this Sunday. I could see an exact replica of the Auto Union in Antwerp, Belgium. The car was stunning and is owned by the Belgian VW importer d'Ieteren. And then they fired up the engine. The V16 sounds great and loud, but I expected it to be louder. Or am I just getting deaf?
