I love these cars. They are the ultimate performance cars. Back in 1998 when the LS1 became the standard V8 in the F-body it was the best bang for the buck car on the planet. I mean for less than $30,000 you could have 305+ HP, leather, T-tops, the ultra mean Super Sport package, go 0-60 in 5.5 sec., top out at over 155mph AND get almost 30 miles to the gallon on the highway! The non-Camaroish styling and poor visibility is why the fourth generation didn't sell so well. I still love it and I'll always consider it to be THREE times the car a 4.6 liter Mustang is, but I hope the next generation has a upright, coupe look like the first generation cars. (67-69 Camaros/Firebirds) LAst August I bought a 1968 basic Camaro coupe with 370hp 350 crate engine and there is NOTHING like it!!! I can't wait for spring. |
