| 1968 Forsgrini MK10 formula B |
| rvgreg 11-06-2006 |
The car pictured was originaly a formula c and was the second(only 2 built) Mk10 car built by Lyle. The car first had a Cosworth SCA engine. The second owner (Larry Walters) installed a 1100cc Lotus twin cam. Some time in the mid 70's Phill Simons installed wings and a 1600cc Lotus Twin cam and raced it as a formula B. The car set in storage for many years and was restored buy Ken Mot who installed a new Lotus Twin cam and raced it in the pacific northwest in vintage racing. The car was sold to Fritz Hamns in the midwest and he raced it untill 2004. I bought the car in May 2006 and had it brought back to the Seattle area. It is in my shop being prepaired for the 2007 SOVERN vintage season. Greg Lovell |

The forsgrini was not built in Canada it was designed and manufactured in Seattle Washington. The original components were all custom made the only the engine (Ford Cortina) and the gearing which was a VW gearbox with a Hewland transaxel, also some gear modification |

In 1968 there were two formula C Forsgrinis built by Forsgren Engineering in Issaquah, WA. One of these won the Nat'l Championship at Riverside. There were never any Formula B cars produced, but one of the Formula C cars was seen at Elkhart Lake having been re-engined with a 1600 cc twin cam engine. There were no Lotus parts used in any of the Forsgrini's. Sincerely, Lyle M Forsgren, designer and builder of Forsgrini race cars. |

Although I am a Canadian, and am very proud, this car tarnished the Canadian name. What geius came up with the idea to coppy a lotus and make it look like every other car. Just buy another car that is already made and is proper. |
