 XLR the best 2-seater sports car out now
XLR-Greatest CAR

Needless to say this car is beautyfull in everyway. From about 3 years ago when caddi introduced th Evoq, i was hooked. a few mnths after i found out that they were developing the XLR a car based on the Evoq. I havent been blessed by seeing one other than on my desktop or on webpages across the net. Any real car lovers that have done there home work and have read up on the XLR cannot deny that this car is nothing short of greatness, heaven on earth, i would give up sex for a year to have this car. this asspects of this car are phenomal. Its performance is almost unmatched by other roadsters( yes even the SL 500). Its magnetic ride control is something so new and revoluntionary that the closest thing to the magnetic ride control is still 5 times less than that of the XLR. It valve timming technology will leave u speeachless and unseen in the car industry. and there ones one person who left out that a car so sweet should be manual, my friend it is manual and automatic, at the switch of a button the car is able to switch from autmoatic to manual ( the gear shifter is 2 buttons on the steering wheel kinda like shifting gears in Grand Tursmio for ps and ps2). Caddi has sold me. ive started saving up, cause the XLR is a car that anyone who reallys loves cars...MUST HAVE!

"As I was eating lunch outside with my friend yesterday on campus, two XLR's made their way passed us. I must say that this is indeed an impressive car. As it pulled up to the stop sign a ""tool"" in a Prelude that had a number of poor modifications, attempted to instigate a race by revving his engine. The firmiliar, hideous, vibrating sound heard from the Prelude's aftermarket muffler was first. Then, the guy in the first XLR turned his head, shook his head... then revved his engine. The sweet Northstar V8 purred like a Lion. The prelude jumped off the line and the XLR gave him a bit of a grace period before letting his little roadster fly. The next stop sign was about 500 yards further down and with the extra head start, the prelude arrived about 4 seconds after the XLR. I will have to agree with Cale 29 that Cadillacs are indeed popular with the younger generation. There is no doubt that the image of a Caddy has stemmed from of Snoop Dogg and other rappers. I recall a Dr. Dre video from the mid 90's where every car featured was a 80's Caddy. The image however, isn't necessarily only portrayed by Hip hop, nor is it a new phenomenon Cadillac has long been a symbol of status in the United States. Before the imports from Europe and Japan, most everyone aspired to own a Cadillac. I was talking with my father and he would recall that you could tell who the wealthy people in town were by wether or not they drove a Cadillac. Perhaps this trend is resuming as Cadillac still comitts themselves to comfort and quality and now they have taken the extra step in pioneering a new style for American made cars. If I had the money and if I were in the position where I could afford having a car such as the XLR and something a bit more practical at the same time, I might consider it over some of the European sompetitors. The decision would be a tough one. The car looks fantastic and there is no doubt that the Northstar V-8 will haul. The wide stance and rear wheel drive display signs of a wonderfully handling vehicle. My one and only complaint is..... If Cadillac is now focusing on the sporty, more fun to drive aspect of Cars these days..... You NEED a manual in this whip."

"Having driven a CTS, I am ""so"" ready for the smooth ride WITH style!!! I applaude Cadillac/GM for stepping outside the 'grandpa' styling and risking a sportier look during this tight economic climate. Way to go, Cadillac! Post some pricing, please and sign me up."
 I'm not really sure abou the Image front...

As i've never been to america and have never really felt the car culture over there. what i do know is that Cadillac has become really popular in Gansta Rap Music Videos recently. All the time i see rappers and their girlfriends driving and arriving at clubs in an escalade, or the other one, the Avalanche with the Escalade nose... Anyways. I think it has to do with the edgy styling, or maybe the Night Vision Tech, but what i do know is that Caddy is fast becoming GM's new Excitement divison. They always said Premium brands would rule the world one day...
 Cadillac XLR vs. Lexus SC430

To me Cadillac is making all the right moves to bring it's name away from the Grandpa's car to a luxury automobile everyone enjoys. I am 14 and I can ask any one of my homy's and they are crazy to over the XLR, Escalade, CTS, & super prototype Cien. To me the Cadillac XLR is a better car than the Lexus SC430 but it is about 15,000 dollars less but anyway if you were wondering Cadillac's are cool with the younger crowd.
 wut r u talking about the CTS is AMAZING!!

the CTS is the most beautiful car gm has ever came out with and the XLR has sone qualties from it but too bad gm mad the XLR instead of the CTS

Its a nice try but it has some flaws for exampel the bottom front lights are to squared and the grill bars are to wide thay need to be closser. Around the front licen plate shuld be XLR in crom. The mirors got to go. The gas tank lid shuld be hidden by in the tail light. The stiring whell shuld be 2 collors not 3. It shuld have a 6 speed automatic ensted of 5. Plus the navagation, cd, and radio needs tobe totally rearange. beside those things it is a grate pice of art.
 XLR = acceleration?

Seems like GM is about to accelerate its fresh line up. Not an Evoq though, but still Caddy is able to kickoff with some cutting edge almost perfectly styled luxury 2seater. Perhaps they leave the REAL Evoq for the V series...hopefully they do.

Looks like the XLR is going to be this year's Needless Markup Chirstmas Catolog special car. Hopefully they'll have it better organized than the Tunderbird tebacle of two years ago, when the cars arrived 8 months late.
 Makes up for the CTS

I think the toned down straight-edge styling of the XLR makes up for the extreme styling of the CTS. Cadillac finally caught on to the ugliness of the CTS.
