| Extraordinary! |
| steve fielding 9-9-2003 |
What a fantastic piece of design and engineering! This extraordinary car paved the way for future designs in aerodynamics. It seems odd to think that in 1937 Mercedes had a car that could rival a Mclaren F1 for speed and power. The longitudinally mounted V12 beast producing an astonishing 756 BHP, chanelled through a four speed manual to the rear wheels all in 1937! The undoubtedly has the most streamlined body shell of its era, if not still today. It's dramatic sweeping curves grab your attention immediately, demanding a second look. If only Mercedes made cars as beautiful and as fast today! |
