Why there were so few of these models produced is more than I can fathom. Who wouldn't want to own this car? I would love to have one. Ercole Spada designed this beauty, and he designed an Alfa Spider while working for IDEA institute that never went into production. Those who have seen the design say it had no equal. Somewhat retrograde, it was a masterpiece.

As in the previous comment it is a true shame production was ceased after a mere 12 (or 14?) cars. The lower TZ2 has improved suspension and is said to be much more forgiving when driven on the limit than its predecessor.

It is a shame that Alfa Romeo did not continue to further develope these fantastic cars (TZ1-TZ2) Apart from their being so beautiful they were also extremely fast! They have dominated their classes in nearly every endurance race they have participated in. And all that with technology that was present in Alfa's line of road cars. The engine derived from Giullietta, and continued as far as the early 90s (Alfa 75) through Giulias, Alfettas, and 2nd generation Giulliettas. I think that this car is a good example of Alfa's ability to combine mechanical excellence with great looks. Having in mind that this cars evolution ceased in favor of Giulia GTA, takes the sorrow away!
