The Jag RD-6 concept from 2004 was a 4 door coupe....well before the CLS broke cover. The RX8 hit the market about that time too, so I wouldn't say that this trend began with the Merc.
I do hope that's not the case. Standard practice these days is to take the new car, get rid of the door handles, fit an over-the-top interior and silly exhausts then call it a concept. Changing stuff...
It's official now

The concept version of the new S-Type, renamed the XF, will be shown at the detroit show. Expect the production version to...
If that car hit the tree side-on at 60mph, it definitely would have broken like that. Carbon fibre is brittle and trees don't move. 60mph is very fast if you're doing it sideways!
I know 2 people who've had the new XK for about 6 weeks, so sorry but that's not the first one. Love that 159 though :)
Daz, that's about all that's been said. Reports on Melandri's neck injuries range from injuries to just a sore neck, so I'm not sure about that. Capriossi apparently has abdominal bleeding but he was...
I can see the joke, but this is a pretty dumb thread.
Evenin' all.
I had the test drive of the Brera today and I have to agree with the original sentiments of this thread. The pricing is too high. Taken on its own, the Brera is a very good car. The...
My current car is the 150bhp GT diesel. I've driven a GT that had been remappedto 180bhp and that's fecking quick. The Brera will be a hoot, I'm sure.
All V6 Breras (and 159s) are 4WD, not FWD. The 2.4 diesel supposed to have an AWD option but as yet the price hasn't been confirmed for the UK.
I'm test driving a 2.4 JTD on Saturday...can't wait,...
Hehe, that'll be why 'm not a car stylist ;)
When I did the first one it seemed like a good idea at the time, but when it was done I realised that it has more than a hint of Lexus SC 430 about....

The headlights on the new XK just look wrong. Here's my take on it.http://www.apqa74.dsl.pipex.com/XK8a.jpg

The seats are the same size in the wide and narrow tunnelled cars. If you can't phone westfield I'd definitely recommend emailing them. They'll always be happy to answer your tech questions by email....
10X, There aren't any frame differences between them.
Westfield make 3 different chassis (ignoring the live axle ones for now). There's the one for SEiWs fitted with a car engine and an MT75...
Nah, no compromise means no passenger seat. LCC Rocket!
Any chance of an Alfa Brera or Alfa GT CARicature?
DC
Wow, that's quite a state :(
That's a bit harsh....the S2000 is a poor mans NSX.
According to all 3 road tests so far (4car.co.uk, the telegraph and the sunday times) the quality is right up there, as it should be.
The car at the Goodwood festival was (allegedly) still a...
The interior's alright actually. I saw the car at Goodwood this year (you've all seen my photos already) and the silver slab on the dash is actually lightly brushed aluminium. It looks kinda cool.

There are more photos released today, of a red one and a black one on the road. I've only seen low-res versions, any chance of seeing the hires ones?
(low res ones are here...
I live in London, but I was on the Staples 2 Naples rally this weekend and I seriously doubt there were too many collections of classic mint Alfas driving around europe in convoy ;)
Did these cars then head for the Alps on Saturday? Cos if they did, I saw them when I was on the Grimsel Pass (of Furka Pass, can't remember). They looked amazing, in a convoy of about 8 or so...
