Back when Acura had real names.

    Integra (now RSX)
    Vigor (now TL)
    Legend (now RL)

    Hm. That's sexy. Oh yes.

As for real names... I wouldn't ever have the bad taste to call my car a 'Vigor'!

    It's a Legend, right?

You do realise they are different cars, right? And there is nothing sexy about Vigor, second gen Legend yes, even 10 years later still sexy.

I should have used the rolling eyes smiley when referring to it's sexiness.

I thought that Acura had upper-market versions of the Jap/Euro Hondas, like Lexus. For example, the Acura that is based on the new Euro Accord, and the Integra becoming the RSX.

    You are correct.

    Acura Vigor = Honda Inspire
    Acura Legend/RL = Honda Legend
    Acura Integra/RSX = Honda Integra
    Acura TL = Honda Saber
Acura TSX = Honda Accord eu/jp
Acura MDX = Honda MDX/Pilot (but not American market Pilot)

Just the wrong model then. Sorry!!!

I personally prefer names for cars, easier to remember, even if they are dumb... Vigor! Lol!

Extremely exaggerated proportions (Ie an unnecesssarily long bonnet) lend this car quite a sporty edge.

    A lesson in proportion.

I like long hoods, Legend has one too (unless you talking about something else ) All Acuras of that time had those kind of proportions.

herein lies my problem with the design.

It's a lovely looking car when taken from a front or rear 3/4 aspect. but because the glasshouse is soooo high, and because the other design elements (small grille, elongated but not very high head/tail lights) it unbalances the design.

If they somehow could have lowered the glasshouse or something, it'd look really scmick. ATM it looks like it's had a nosejob that it not in keeping with the rest of the car.

Still, it IS an old model taste was different back then.

Acura Vigor = Honda Vigor. Inspire was slightly different.
