Not if they perform near each other, are relatively new, and are both American.

Wow a computer said it could drive upside down, IT MUST PERDORM BETTER THAN ANTHING!!!!
that doesnt mean the Gt couldnt keep up with it on the track.

Its a close call, Clasic styled american supercar, or modern styled american super car? Ill take the Saleen.

I'd say sell 'em both and buy cars that are not only better looking, but will last longer too. The Ford GT as usual for Ford, is one of the worst looking cars on the road. And the Saleen doesn't look much better if at all.

the main thing that the saleen has over the gt is its downforce in a evo magazine the reporter said "when driveing the saleen through a series of esses it was like a hand of god was holding the car to the track" that has to be good handleing as he never spoke of the car sliding out or feeling out of his control at all so on that and the looks i would have to go the saleen.

Neither's really my cup of tea, but I'd trust the Ford GT more with its huge factory backing as opposed to the Saleen which for all intents and purposes is just a tuner with an OEM manufacturer status who builds a few cars on the side.

Ditto, Steve Saleen was involved in the design of the GTs chassis, so in fact they are both Saleens to an extent.
