I managed 96KB by cutting almost half the frames, still works, but it's way faster. It works for me as an avatar, the avatar size limit is 97.7KB for SM's, I suppose members have a smaller size limit? It should work otherwise... can anybody confirm this?

Simple, Supporting Members can upload 97.7KB avatars while regular members can only upload 48.8KB avatars. It'll work if the avatar is smaller than 48.8KB. That's why it works for you Matra and not for Canuck.
