Not really an SUV, but most of the stuff you lot posted wasn't, so... why not?

    Landy Defender 90

    ORV or SUV

    Favorite ORVS:
    Hummer H1
    Suzuki Samurai
    Jeep CJ5/Grand Wagoneer
    Benz Unimog
    and many others.
Why? these are all capable vehicles for off roading. And they were around right before the SUV hype. People used these to go farther off road than jumping curbs at Walmart.

    As for SUV's:
The Escalade, because, It's blingity bling.
    Stickers add horsepower. I promise.

Zerk and SL500, i wont go as far as spelling out what SUV stands for but theres very little criteria that makes a car one. Here we used to just call them 4WD's, but recently with the Soft-Roader and Crossover markets pulling themselves forward, VFACTS, the people who record monthly and YTD vehicle sales in Australia, changed the category to SUV's

Nissan Murano and 1st-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.

And that Ford Territory looks a lot like a Ford Escape, but the Escape is a Ford-Mazda collaboration I think. Or at least Mazda has its own version, the Tribute.

the body was engineered by Mazda, the mechanics are Ford. The Territory and the Escape have their visual similarities, but thats where it stops, theyre nothing alike under the skin. The Territory was benchmarked against the X5 in development and unlike the Escape's 2.3L and 3.0L engines, the Territory comes with a 4.0L straight 6

The Hummer in Holland has to be driven by people who actually have a truck license. The total weight of the car (including payload) comes over 3,500 kg, which is the upper limit of what you may drive with a normal license. Recently there was a programme on TV where they show funny things happening in traffic. The police had stopped a yellow Hummer with darkened glass. The driver said that he had actually bought the car because of its looks. He was stopped by the police about every 500 kilometers. It turned out that apart from driving the Hummer the guy was another menace to traffic safety as he was a salesman of darkened carglass, which makes it impossible for other drivers to see the face of the idiot behind such glass. Eyecontact is a prerogative for traffic safety, so as far as I am concerned the police could have his license withdrawn on the spot.
