Is everyone aware of the iPod's battery limits ?
400 recharges and it then must be replaced and it's NOT a simple job. Apple charging $80 to do it ???
That's like just over a year for a SERIOUS user

So, ipods are cool and they have decently long batery life, besides 400 recharges is plenty and definetly worth it provding you dont get the shuffle.
Don't bother me, I'm probably working while posting...

my ipod battery only lasts about 2 hours, 1.5 with the backlight on, i've had it for almost 2 years now, i just keep it plugged in all the time. Its not that big of a deal, the new ones are cheap enough to get a new since this one has lasted a long time.

Its alot smaller and has no screen. I am looking to buy one and that is the most decent one i can find in my price range.(Yes I have looked around). The Shuffle can hold 520songs in the 1G format. The normal ipods can hold 10,000songs in 40G form or 5000song in 20G. I wanna get shuffle cuz i already have ITunes so it makes sense.

the shuffle( 512mb(120 songs), 1 gb(240 songs)) is just a smaller version of the ipod(4gb(1000 songs) up to 60 gb(15,000 songs)), made for the people who dont need the space for 100's of songs, although, the shuffle is smaller and simpler, it looses the screen so the song list plays in the order it was put on the shuffle, or you can choose to "shuffle" it by switching a button in the back.

Its 240 songs for the 1gb. for $150usd, its quite the deal.

just an example, on my ipod i have 1750 songs, they are backed up on the hd of the ipod so it leaves the space on my computer free, and its the 15 gb version, not to shabby.
