i really hope you didnt buy it. it says it has a 3mp smos sensor but up to 7 mp resolution. wtf? how does that work. and any digital camera with video games built in is not worth your money, cuz itll be crap. if u want games buy a gameboy or seomething.

yeah, I'd be wary of a camera that has games on it - and the fact that it has an "in camera" option to interpolate up to 7 mp is just disturbing. You don't want to take a 3 mp pic and interpolate it up to 7mp, cause it will look like ass... I'd keep looking... perhaps if you were to give us a price range and what features you're looking for we could steer you to something a little more worth-while.

EDIT: some good discussion on digital cameras can be found here: http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum...ad.php?t=11822

    Noooooooooooooooo!

PLEASE tell me you didn't buy this camera! it has NO optical zoom which means as soon as you hit that button you're going to get crazy pixilation. Sorry I didn't read the thread earlier

I recently bought a sony DSC-P100. I love it. It is tiny so I can put it in my pocket and bring it with me all the time, it takes about a second and a half to turn on (most digital cams take a buttload of time, and the thing you wanted to take a picture of is gone), it has 5mp, and on and on. I would seriously look into it before you buy...I took about a month of research to find what I wanted, and it is the perfect camera for me.

EDIT: pricegrabber has the P100 for $298

I laughed when I was reading the ''MEGXON S301 Slim Digital Camera'' review. Come on, NO optical zoom, 7.0 MP pictures with a 3.14 MP sensor and wow! THREE built-in video games! Don't buy it, duh!!!

The HP is a great buy though. I have a Konica Minolta DiMage Z10 and it has 8X optical and 4X digital zoom. At full zoom without a tripod I hardly get a sharp image because of no image stabilization. So, with HP's 56X zoom altogether you would NEED a tripod for sharp pictures. And the pictures at 7X digital zoom are very bad quality... Other specifications are great for the money though. I recommend it.
