    Is the Busa a bus?

I have heard THat the Hayabusa is just a engine nothing else. SOme say that it handles great, others say its horrible. Most of what i have found online is just fanboys (its like the Skline GTR of bikes), or haters.

    Has anyone every ridden one?
Does anybody have any good sport bike mags?
    And most importantly canit turn?

All I know is that it is one of the fastest if not the fastest of the bikes out there (Not sure about its handling)

I recently saw a vid of a 700HP Turbo Hayabusa... Power/Weight would be like having a 4500HP Mustang

I would post the video but it's only the Busa on a dyno.

Ya i have seen vids of it going 0-220, insane.
But I want to know how it stacks up on the track against other sport bikes, handeling wise.

For a big bike it handles "well".

It is NOT as sharp as a proper sportsbike and isn't meant to be it's a 'super'sports-tourer to rival and beat the Kwaka ZZR1100 and the Honda Blackbird - and a rumoured reason Suzuki chose the name. Hayabusa is a predatory bird ( Japanese peregrine falcon ) which among others attacks and eats blackbirds

BUT like with cars, start putting turbos and over-tuning it and it becomes an evil monster. It's already got enough torque to spit you off the front on corners ( most bikes do ). Also the turbos I've seen run a longer swing-arm to help keep the bike down, this just makes it handle like a Harley

In stock form noone is disappointed by its handling - though some say it needs a strong dampener.

'busa - but that's mainly becausethe R1 is designed for skinny young kids. It's an awful bike to sit on , very uncomfortable. The 'Busa is better but the 'bird is just superb for long distance touring AND pusing it hard on the twisties

So, a skewed quesetion. If I didnt' have bad knes and hips form rugby, I'd go the R1.
But comfort comes into it so the '
Busa, BUT it's an ugly biatch, so I'd rather have the 'birdif goign for the suport/sports/tourer option.
BUT I prefer my bikes light and naked - like my women

It depends what you see it against.
Next to a Harley it's small, next to an R1 it's massive

If you're only looking at width, then see it against a Ducati 999

The Hayabusa isn't really a sportbike, its more of a sports tourer. An R1, GSXR-1000, or ZX-10 weighs about a hundred pounds less than a Hayabusa. The Busa sure is fast though thanks to its aerodynamic fairings and 1300cc engine.
