Well, April fools day is over now (givien the time differences the nice thing is that it lasts about 48 hours in total, before it has gone round the world). and yes this was of course a prank, which only worked when Niko and later the other mods stepped it and put some more convincing points in the there. The essence of the joke was not to make fun of Karrmann, but to show that some of you are quite oversensitive to anything related to him. There were really some nice reactions but most of you saw the thread for what it was.
When I read Exgie's post about making fun on his expense I got some doubts indeed whether this was acceptable or not. There was indeed no way how he could step in and influence the thread. This however also gave it a safe side as there could no direct attacks on him which might have blurred the funny aspects here.
Anyway I know that Karmann has apporached some of the mods through MSN and he was not too happy about all of this. So Karrmann my apologies to you if feel a little bit hurt, but may you also mind some consolation from the fact that many replies referred to a number of positive aspects in your previous posts. Just keep that in mind upon your eventual return after your ban.
