i am sure this has been brought up before, but why can we not place any pic's, quotes, cannot underline, bold, or italicize anything in our sigs?

wow nice title of the thread
He came dancing across the water
    With his galleons and guns
    Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun
    On the shore lay Montezuma
With his cocoa leaves and pearls

Ive seen wars started in certain forums because of the ability of using pictures in sigs. Personally I think it makes the forums much cleaner and much more attractive without sig pics. Some forums i use like GTA forums really has alot of hassle with sigs and stuff. Although i see no reason why we shouldnt be able to use bold, italics etc. Maybe because no HTML tags are allowed at all to ensure theres no use of pictures .. i dunno.

that was my point: to show how annoying a picture for a signature would be

i figured the pic thing....it takes an ass long time for loading with sig pics

but the bolding, italics, and underlining shouldnt cause a prob, as with the quote thing...

The only one I would like to have is links. I don't care about any of that other stuff.

Mods can ban people or alter signatures so I don't think it would become a problem.

You sig carlover is the BEST EXAMPLE of why we shoudl NOT allow too much. You've taken it to the max, so one line response from you takes up have the fecking screen

Back to ignore sigs for me then

    Q: What MATTERS in a forum ?

Choice A : the repeated smart sigs and pics
Choice B : the big sigs that repeat old jokes and taglines
Choice C : the content of the POST

For all who chose A or B, WHY ?

One of UCP's best forum features is the ability to turn signatures off. I've been avoiding screen-filling crap for the past year or so
