I would get the Aston for the absolutely jaw-dropping looks and similar performance figures. I don't care about the price difference.

    The AMV8 for me please.
    1) Aston Martin's are sexier
    2) Much more exclusive
    3) Just as fast
    4) Aston Martin's have always sounded just........so wonderful.

Dunno bout that, it looks all Aston to me, although I find it a little weird that they'd put the most aggressive styling on their entry-level model which doesn't quite have the performance of its pricier V12 bretheren. I really don't like the wheel well arches on it, and it still ticks me off that when I do a search for an AMV8 that the new one's all that comes up (that got it up on the wrong side of the bed for me)

OTOH, the Porsche's history is pretty appealing to me, and I still think that its styling is something that could rightfully be used as a benchmark not only for sportscar styling, but for timeless styling in general. The Porsche is an easy choice for me.

    Agreed.
Porsche have suspension & engine tuned like a race car.
AM are more of luxury GTs.

I want something that can race.

    I want the 911.
Yep, my Elan is pretty quik.

this would make more sense if it was the Carrera S

The Aston is overall the coolest new car on the market Period.

I like the idea of a smaller, more nimble Aston...and if its cheaper (compared to the rest of the line-up) and better looking too, all the better
