    Help Identifiy This Car

My friend sees this car often in his hometown and he didn't know what it was so he took a few pictures of it. I had no clue what it was either, but i knew someone on ucp had to know what it is.

I'm thinking its a DeTomaso Pantera, or at least a DeTomaso, but that's just at first glance, I may be wrong

It looks like a DeTomaso but I'm not entirely sure. My knowledge of that era of Automobiles is pretty vague.

No, it is certainly not a DeTomaso.

    I'd say it is a kit-car.
    Just look at sloppy details.

sad to say, I'd got with pimento.

the panel fit is SO bad and the side window so crudely hinged it SCREAMS out kist and badly put together kit at that

All the things that give DECENT kits a bad name !!!!

Most likely a kit, a few VW beetle based kit cars have the doors like that. It also appears to be rear engined, another hint to a VW kit car.

Done some diggin gin the kit annals and it's a Fiberfab Aztec kit car. Not sure if GT or 7.

and yes they WERE that badly fitting when new

EDIT: Confirmed as a 7 and here's even the ad for it

I love the bit about thinking it's worth $25,000 yeah right !!!!!

Thanks Matra. Are those aftermarket rims on it then? Cause it's not the same as in the ad. About what year is this thing, anyone know?

Rims are always up to the kit bnuilder what they choose on the day and often get replaced over the years as they get dinged anyway.

For more info do a google on "fiberfab aztec 7" and you'll find loads.
