What do you think is the overall best (or favourite) car with a carburetor, not fuel injection.

My favorite carb'ed engine.............probably the 1967 Shelby GT500's 427CI. I love the sound that thing produced.

good man! the 427 is RARE in those cars..i wanna say there was only like 3 made. im not trying to be a smart ass but did you actually mean the 428? that was the engine that most GT500's came with. that was gonna be my pick. either that or 69 boss or 69 mach 1.
    My rides:
    1999 Mustang GT

1974 Ford Country Squire (for sale!)

    1991 Jeep Cherokee

    1970 Shelby GT500

Ah, my bad. 428. I mostly just use "427" as the general engine size, as you have so many engine sizes within 2ci of it.

The 427 was indeed a great engine though.

    Either a 1970 datsun 510 with minuki(sp?) sidedraft carbs, or a 1970 454 SS chevelle.

Imagine an old 60's muscle car, but much "faster", and "modern" sounding.
