How would you rate the reliability of the new Aston Martin's?

I am talking about the DB9, and the Vanquish, no other models (variations of these two models are ok though).

Rate the average reliability of them, 1-10, 1 being worse then the old Jaguars, 10 being like some of those Honda's that never die. BUT rate the reliability compared to other supercars and GT's, not actually have a Civic as a 10. (I want to see how reliable they are compared to other supercars and GT's in reliability, but nothing else).

    EDIT: Thank you, Egg Nog.

I haven't heard of any problems with them yet so I would say that the reliability is pretty good.

generally theyre good but i think the qualiy/reliabilty will go way down in the near future due to part sharing with ford, for right now i granted a 6

any opinions are based on generally biased facts read or seen. what's the point of this thread?

    perfect example of "bias"

WHY is it automatically lower reliability because it's Ford ?

I would suggest that the reliability should be pretty good; it does have a German at the helm.

And even if it does go pop, at least it looks good on the side of the road

I'd rate the DB9 at least 9 out of 10 from what has been said about it, but the Vanquish lets them both down a bit from its gearbox so I voted 7 overall.

IF and i say IF there is more parts sharing in the near future with ford i think aston will go down. i dont know how it is with you but i have very good reasons to despise a ford. around here japanese and europeans give you way better looks/quality/preformance/resale value.

and i love astons dont get me wrong, id hate to see tham go down-its already happening to Jaguar and i liked them too.

I think Ford have made some serious advances toward quality with the Parry-Jones (Great driving cars) era Ford models. ie. Focus and newer.
I don't know, maybe thats just the European Fords?
