DaimlerChrysler comfirmed that as a result of a global push for Dodge, the brand would be returning here around 2006. Chrysler Australia is hoping to have sales of the new neon to be only badged as a Dodge, the new viper which will be imported and converted by VIPerformance in Victoria on order and some other cars. Chrysler Australia were shocked after importing and converting 25 vipers at about $250K and only managing to sell 8 of them which has resulted in the new approach for the 2nd generation Vipers. Chrysler Australia is hoping the new Vipers will sell for under $200K and say buyers wont be concerned with the long waiting periods for the Vipers due to the lengthy importing and conversion times and say the same type of buyers stick it out when buying a porsche
