that was the best way of putting it i can think of.
as for a competition, there would be negative rep also, so less spam, and people would think about what they post before they do, and it would would sort of be a competition, but if everyone wants good rep, then the posts would be better
im not dead against it or dead for it, just somehwere in between
oh yeah and i had like whatever the base rep was, plus one, so i cant really say i want it back so i will have my old ocunt back
but what if it does come back, (which im starting to lean towards not brining it back) then everyone, even tje most senior members will start at the same spot

When this happened before, UCP was a lot less exciting. Nobody ever wanted to post anything controversial for fear of losing some precious rep. Posts just became watered-down.
