    Ferry Crash

Earlier today a huge ferry malfunctioned and completely missed the dock, plowing into a marina. This is about 2 minutes from my house... I biked down the hill about 1/2 an hour ago to check it out - pretty crazy.

EDIT: Those aren't my photos - when I got there, the ferry was finally unloading all the cars and stuff (like 6 hours after it happened, sucks for them!), and most of the crash area had been cleaned up.

Thats crazy. There was a fire in a neighborhood near mine and it got out of control and burned some woods. Thats all I got.

Is that the ferry to Vancouver Island? I think I have been right there were it crashed into the pier.

If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

The last time BC Ferries entered into a newbuilding programme for high speed ferries, they created one of the biggest f..k-ups in canadian industrial history

What we really need is a bridge to Vancouver Island. I mean, they already have a bridge to Prince Edward Island on Canada's east coast, and they have far fewer people. The money the ferries have wasted in the past decade could have paid for a massive part of it. *(@$ing ferries.

I hate every aspect of the ferries, including their ^&@$ing union. They have far too many employees, 90% of whom get 25$/hour to sit around on their asses.

I only sometimes find unions acceptable, but idiot ferry workers are never acceptable.
