    No time frame for a "G5" iBook. Keep in mind that iMac/iBook *always* get new CPUs *after* the PowerMac/PowerBook. And since there is no PowerBook G5 there will be no iBook G5 BUT, normally the iBook will be (together with the Mac mini) the first to be switched to Intel around june/july 2006. There will *not* be a PowerPC 970 (G5) based PowerBook or iBook. The PowerMac/iMac will do the transistion later on. Maybe starting in january 2007. In July 2007 the PowerPC --> Intel transition should be complete.

    PS: the number one mac forum is MacNN (forums.macnn.com), I'm on there every day. Mainly in the Lounge which is the 'Misc' section, but waaay more people and, dare I say, more interesting.

    Just wanna say to Bob, AMD's HT means hyper transport, and it is the same concept as intel's HT.
