    The Auto Search game

ok, I came up with this an hour ago.

it is a game, where a person makes a request of what car he's looking for like this.

it is recommended that you use some of these critiras when stating your request.

recommended, but not nessessary to use some of these.
    make
    model
    year range
    color
    options (leather, alarm etc.)
    price range
    style
trim (recommended if asking for a certain model of car)

and then other members go here and look for a car to fit the persons requests, and post the url to it's auction. when the requester sees a car he likes, he quotes the post it is posted and post that he likes it best. when he does that the person who posted the car he likes best will then post a request and it goes on like that.

here's an example of how a request should be posted

    I want a....
Sedan, leather, made between 1991 and 1995.

you can post a special make and or model if oyu want, and state the condition you want it in if you want to.

If you can't find a car that matches a person's request, you can try Autotrader, and if you can't find it there, then another person will post a request.

    i'll start off.

i want a Lincoln Town Car Ultimate L in the newest model year possible, In drivable condition.

EDIT: oh yeah, it's just a game, this not to find a car if you are buying one. and the cars we request we are not going to accually buy IT'S A GAME, like when I said i'm loooking for a Lincoln town car, i'm not going to buy a TC, this just a fun game.

EDIT: change of rules, you can use eBay, Autotrader, or anything on the internet to find a car that fits the request, the only restriction is that IT HAS TO BE FOR SALE.

a town car would sure beat all your cars you own
He came dancing across the water
    With his galleons and guns
    Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun
    On the shore lay Montezuma
With his cocoa leaves and pearls

Hang on. Doesn't a game by it's very definition require that more than one entry is required before a winner is selected?

Otherwise, isn't this just going to be a daisy chain (a short one I suspect) of ebay searches?

yeah, it does need more, but there is one Lincoln TC ultimate L on eBay, because my request was a way to sample epople about a game, when the next people
come in with requests, there will be a competetion of who can find the best car.

It's too limited. Whatever you or anybody else suggests is going to end up as an invariable ebay search string, which in turn will just end up looking like a list of samey results. I suggest a wider base for search; the whole internet. Meaning folks can use their own sources and websites, so you'll end up with a better variety.

    OK, wait a sec.......

    Porsche 996 911 GT2, 2003, for less than $65000.

Good luck. And there are none GT2's on eBay that fit in (I think), so you have look some place other.
