I thought the point of the "race" was to show that the FQ-400 is only fast when you can rev its balls off.

well you dont' have to "rev it's balls" off but it was to get a little dig at turbo engines for power which exhibit zero torque at 1500 revs

To have a car that nearly as fast or equal to a car that costs 3 times as much, I can live with having to rev the engine.
