    Modenas in progress

In order to accompany my red 360 Modena completed last year here is the yellow version and the silver spyder (allegedly used as a wedding car for Luca di Montezemolo). The yellow body is hardening to receive final polishing treatment and the spyder has been sprayed TS17 and received a clear coat TS13. The chassis belongs to the yellow car.

Apologies for the pic quality, blame the spy Leica.

Goodstuff.....Not a very big fan of the 360 but they do look rather nice like that, huddled up in a 3-car bunch.

found the pics. Have you by any chance made a tutorial on how to cut glass without damaging it??

Haven't made a tutorial...but when I cut it I use a razor saw which has a very thin blade with tiny teeth. I use Scotch Plastic tape as a guide but you could use masking tape too, the plastic tape works better because it's tougher, thicker and keeps the blade aligned better until the cut is deep enough to hold the blade.

Put the tape around the glass at your desired cut line and carefully scribe the glass down the edge of the tape til the teeth get into it good, then carefully begin sawing keeping your line straight.

If the cut ends up not being straight you can sand the edge down even and polish it.

Can I use such blue masking tape as pictured above (at least similar) as a mask for spraying? It's the only stuff I have offhand.

It's the next best thing to Tamiya masking tape.

    finally completed

The yellow Modena has finally left the bench. The experiment not to use primer was not successful, as two small chips of paint went straight off during polishing. (on the other side of the car, not visible here ). I also should have darkened the panel lines....

In the mean time I decided to give up my ambition to construct Luca's Spider and in stead the normal car will be produced.
