    New kit announcements 2005

From a reliable source who translated one of the Japanese BBS is a list of fall 2005 announcements from the latest issue of the Japanese Model Grafix magazine. (I haven't seen it in person, so I can't guarantee, but I assume these kits are confirmed)

    < TAMIYA >
    1/24 Peugeot 307 Monte Carlo
    1/24 Ferrari F40GT 1992 Italian GT Champion
    1/12 Semi-assembled Carrera GT

    < AOSHIMA >
1/24 AE86 with and without engine
    1/24 FC3S early and late

    < FUJIMI >
1/24 (Resin kits of) Maserati MC12 Coupe and Spider
1/24 Nissan Cube EX and SX
1/24 Lancer Evolution IX GSR and GT
    1/24 Murcielago Roadster
    1/24 Ferrari F430
    1/24 Dino 206 Competition (w/ pre-painted body) I assume 206S

Revell of Germany has also announced a Ferrari F430.

Too bad Tamiya won't do the F430 immeditely. In the meantime I guess Fujimi will do.

Sounds strange that suddenly Fujimi would produce resin kits in 1/24 scale...?
The F430 is also announced by Revell Germany for end of the year and in resin by ABC Brianza...

Concerning the "F40 GT" by Tamiya, I'm almost sure that the kit will be the standard one with various decals as Fujimi made several years ago. I'm only building Ferrari kits in 1/24 scale and I don't see the point to re-issue a kit that everybody on earth has already built !

    I can't imagine I'm so impatient....

Agreed....as far as I can tell the F40 GT is neither the LM or GTE body. Tamiya is just trying to cash in on the 'decal reissue' game.

As I have seen the Revell 360 Modena, I'm almost sure I will go for the Fujimi. The assembly-quality level of the Revell Modena was poor, (ok, Tamiya was far above), but I would rather buy the Fujimi than the Revell kit.

Now they're going to wish they hadn't....that's the pitfalls of being a resin caster.
