anywayz, i believe the highay that passed around there was destroyed(sections), there was a pic on yahoo about how the actual road was taken out of its support and moved inland....and broken into big chunks of pieces, they say it may be a month before they can really go back in there......as almost every house is destroyed.

80% of the city of New Orleans is underwater....and the water is still rising. The levee broke that keeps a nearby lake out. The ones who "rode out the storm" many of them are dead. The area looks like West Asia after the tsunami, but the loss of life will be no where close.
But still, this will be the costliest natural disaster in US history over taking Hurricane Andrew of 1992.
