WHO Buys an MR2 to carry luggage for 4 ?
It manages to do really well for those who look for a compcat performance sports car.
There's a dedicate luggage space behidn the seats. Not sure how big, enough for golf clubs for sure as local dentist drives one

MR2s are great cars and sell well.

ooh, look the fuel tanks in a differnet place, I can't buy that car I might not knwo how to put gas in it. yeah, liek THAT's a reason for not buying a car.

Woudl you PLEASE stop these threads until you actually invest time and energy in coming up with a REASONABLE description ?

Either that or I vote for a Prius senseless posts sub-forum so we can all avoid it

Maclolm Brocklin decieded to create a car with a lot of safety features in a design that America would want to buy. It would backfire because the car was too slow because of it's ehavy weight and slow engine. The car had a array of safety features like impact absorbing bumpers, bright neon colors and many more. The car didn't have an ashtray because Bricklin wasnted to discourage smoking.
You forgot the most important part-it was of shitty build quality. My uncle had one-the bumper discolours from sun exposure in a few months, and the mechanism used to open the doors failed on many occasions and one had to enter/exit the car through the rear hatch. The car was difficult to service and was serviced many times-oh, and he had it in the 70's, imagine how difficult it would be to service today.

    I think he's confused the 944 with the 2 liter 924 !!!

oh dear, SEE what I mean. PLEASE check facts before coming to opinions and posting htem or it just pisses folks off - especially me tbh

BUT even that was good for 125bhp. EXCEPT, back in '77 what;'s the betting that by the time the added all the innefficient US emissions approach of the day it would be a struggling asthmatic and only give out 90 ??

    Delorean
    1981-1984

The delorean was John Delorean trying to make a lightweighht mid engine alumium car, a design philopsy that would later result in the Pontiac Fiero. The delorean stuck out because of it's unpainted bodies which would look good, until mother nature would wear it down like an old tfal pan. also a rumor that the gullwing doors' shocks would wear out and fall on your head, and you would be trapped in a side collision. The final blow came when John Delorean was caught selling Cocane to save his compay. he was later cleared of these charges, but the company was unable to be salvaged.

    Ford Five Hundred
    2005-

What do you get when you cross a Focus and a berry Bonds serving of steroids? A FIVE HUNDRED! Ford offered this sedan as the replacement for the revolutionary Taurus, Which sold over 21 million units in it's 20 year run. The Five Hundred is made of cheap materials, and many componets work cheaply. The only thing that salvages it is it's Volvo platform which gives it goo dpickup. Overall this car feels like an oversized Focus. I like to call it the "Five Focus". It's Mercury Montego twin sells so badly that even though it's only been around for a year, Mercury is already pileing on teh discounts to get them off teh cluddered lots.

    Dodge Rampage
    1982-1984

[above is a plymouth Scamp, teh Rampages Corperate Clone]

The Dodge Rampage is an el Camino looking "Truckette" based off the popular Dodge Onmi, and borrowing parts from the failed 024. The Rampage failed because of it's weak engine. It couldn't deliver the performance of the competition. And because many people felt the engine was too weak, the car sold poorly. The Scamp only lasted 1 year, and only a handful were sold, making it a collectors item. The rampage lasted two years though.

    Edsel
    1958-1962

This is another story, it was not reliability, but The Edsel just didn't sell. The Edsel was hyped beyond belief. Another reason for it's downfall was because when developing it, Ford asked what people wanted in a car, but not what they wanted to pay for it. So when it was released, people were shocked when the price was outrageous. The Edsel also is famous because it flopped after Ford wasted 400 million bucks to develop it.

    Ford Freestyle
    2005-

Ford orignally offered it as a SUV like Wagon, but so far sales have been slow. The Freestyle is based on the Five Hundred. it is cheap and sales have been so slow that Ford said that it will die before the decade ends.

air-cooled ? erm, no, the 924 was inline 4 and their firts water-cooled.

ANOTHER PRIUS COCK-UP. Please stop, some readers may actually believe some of this Whilst most others will not believe ANY of it, so it's a waste of time.

As recommended, at least do a LITTLE research and increase your actual knowledge before posting the erroneous rubbish from whereever you're finding it.

    oh, dear

and while I'm typing -- the DMC was NEVER aluminium. Where ARE you cutting this from ????? Pleas stop

    Oh no you didn't...

It's STAINLESS steel you dumbass! Stainless steel doesn't rust, or wear, it shows fingerprints! The hydraulics used to open the doors where of high quality, and my uncle actually used DeLorean door mechanics on his Bricklin!
