Actually, funny thing is that I've seen two yellow Elises in the area. One with racing stickers and one that doesn't have any racing stickers. It practically looked tiny next to my dad's Civic. It's a cool, loud little car.

You can't be serious. I would think the V8 Esprit to be a car worth having, but not the 4 cylinder versions. They were famous for their nasty turbo lag, besides, the elise outperforms the Esprit in every possible way, except comfort. Hell, it's been know to outperform late model Porsches and Corvettes at tracks that suit them. Doubt it? Check the results of the Auto X nationals at Topeka.Originally Posted by Mr.Tiv
Edit: But basically they are a different type of car, the Esprit was a weak supercar, while the elise/exige is a no frills dediacted sports car.

Zag when they Zig
I know the elise performs well. It's just one of those things in life that I hate, and I am of the persuasion that the V8 never belonged in the Esprit. It's just personal preference; I am not saying the Esprit is better.Originally Posted by magracer

Yes, but somewhat the fact that it's still ofered by Caterham (and other copies) and that has been recreated almost a million a times, leave the Elan as something more uniquely Lotus, if you see what I mean. Preferably a Sprint.Originally Posted by derekthetree

Unless you somehow put in the word "original"
Of course I was refering to the original Elan. The word Sprint was a very good clue.Originally Posted by The_Canuck
