The 73 is just ugly, it has no good lines and the color looked like a used toilet.

well all i know is that this is the best looking american car ever and i was wondering how hard is it to get such a car????

I'd say the original Eleanor is a 1967 Shelby GT500.
The 1973 Mach 1 is just the base for the 2003 tuned Shelby GT500E.

.....Have you ever seen the original Gone in 60 Seconds made in 1974? They use a 1973 Mach 1 as the Eleanor.

... but the so called "Eleanor" seen in the new "Gone in 60 seconds" is called 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 in the movie.

Yes it is. They use a 1967 GT500 for the new gone in 60 seconds, they used a 1973 Mach 1 as the eleanor in the old one. Eleanor is the code name for the car.

So according to the old "gone in 60 seconds" Eleanor is a 1973 Mach 1 and
according to the new movie Eleanor is a 1967 GT500... Means we're both right.

    Technically, it's a 2003+ GT500E.

The GT500E is built upon '67 Fastbacks.

Here's some shots of one at the rally I did lat Saturday. Something tells me it may not be original, could be the chopped top, LOL. Nice looking anyway. I recommend the original Gone in 60. Some really good driving. Same with the original Italian Job, great openner with a Miura.

Woops, those two pics are not the same car, hard to tell from small thumbnails. I'm talking about the pic on the right, sorry.
