That's why having that doesn't neccessarily make them supercars.

I still like NSX very much thou, it deserves a special place, more so than 599 or Enzo. But it just wasn't super enough in terms of performance, pedigree and that exquisite feel.

I don't think it would beat a Bugatti Veyron

have you happened to hear of the caparo. Its basically a road going F1 car. 3g in corners, 0-100mph 5. If you ask me thats the amking of somthing unbeilieable.
and please, a veyron. It would beat it on top speed. But top speed will only win you some pathetic pub arguement

    0-100 mph in 5 seconds?

My friend's Civic does it in 4.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

    For me:

    1. Bugatti Veyron - not everyones cuppa tea, but you cant deny the enormity of the engineering feat.
    2. Ferrari F40 - no frills, all thrills.
    3. McLaren F1
    4. Porsche 997 GT3
    5. Lamborghini Muira
I am a New Zealander, and I hate Greg Murphy. Yes, we exist.

Porsche Dauer 962 LM-I believe the Sultan of Bruni has 5 or 6 of these in his car collection numbering into the thousands. He has every damn car you could think of including prototypes and one-off's. He has said that this is his favourite car and it should be. The turbo flat 6 it could hit 252 mph flat out and 60mph in 2.5 seconds which is just a tick below a Veyron. the turbo had variable psi and could be adjusted by the driver with the turn of a knob, to make the car better suited for speed or handaling. The car weighed less than a class of first graders and with so much damn power-WOW!

Bugatti EB110 SS- Ading extra powera to the already ferocious EB 110, the SS tured the ferocious beast into a raging lunatic. However, with the assistance of AVD the car was able to slip through city streets with ease/ Then Dauer got a hold of it...

Jaguar XKSS- The mighty D-type of the road. In my opinion, it was and still is the closest thing any normal person will get to driving a race car on an open road. It migh be a little old, but at least it has experience.

Ferrari F50- Ferrari envisioned the F50 to be a race car leagal for road use and it was, plain and simple.

Caterham CSR 260 Superlight- Proves that lightweight is the key to success in three key factors. 1) Instead of using massive power like Bugatti, Saleen, or SSC, the CSR relies on it's light weight power to rate ratio making it accelerate faster than a McLaren F1. 2) With such little mass to haul around, the handaling is simply stunning. 3) No roof, no doors, No windshield= less weight and nothing to distract the driver from the road and it's beauty. Oh, by the way it cost well under $100K

1st: Porsche-Dauer 962 LM - all in all, IMO this is THE ultimate supercar, because it's the street conversion of the most succesful racecar from an era when there were no limits at Le Mans. It should be the fastest on the road.

2nd: Pagani Zonda F Roadster - I don't think a supercar should be like a race car (Enzo, F1 LM), I want luxury in it. Earlier Zondas were immature, and the new Zonda R is too much of practical shape. The F Roadster had unique styling, luxury, and speed. It had the 640 hp engine of the Zonda F Club Sport, so it should faster than the F.

3rd: McLaren F1 - The F1 LM might be faster (for me 'faster' means lap times, not 0-60 or top speed), but it was so much ahead of its era, like the Mercedes 300 SL or the Porsche 959. Tell me one more car which had such a timeless design than the F1. (I'm not a fan of Jaguar E-Type.)

4th: BMW M6 E60 - if I think of what an all-day-useable high-pricetag car should be, I will tell the properties of an M6 E60 (or a Porsche 911 Turbo or an average Mercedes).

5th: Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0 - the pinnacle of an exciting line of stylish supercars.
