Fords suck, Chevys rule, but its Ferrari that makes me drool
the cars on the list, Elise...
Miata's design principles is similar to Elise - lightweight and handles great, but it's still can't compare with with Elise's barebone"ness"...
for me, a sport car at least need to have a roof so you can drive in all weather, and the Elise (or Exige) is quite close to the purest given this constraint... some older porsches are quite pure as well..
A pure sports car no doubt. Lots of power, sticks to the road like glue, targa top, 6-speed....still too posh though . What do you need a DVD nav system for? or a radio? or heater? or glass windows?Originally Posted by PrevlingPushrod

And then came the Atom. Watching it leave the line was like watching a controlled explosion. It had such an overwhelming surfeit of power its driver didn't even bother using first gear. He simply seleclected second, dropped the clutch and disappeared. On the surface we'd have been stunned if it had hit 60mph in 3.1 sec but, when all six runs were completed, these were the numbers we were faced with: the 'slow' run into the wind took 2.94 sec, the return just 2.88 sec, to give an average 0-60mph of 2.91 sec.
