Visca Catalunya!
I know this picture's from a while ago, but what's with those wheels? It looks like they're inflatable or something. The axles look weird too. Can someone explain to me how it works? I just found this thread also.Originally Posted by bum
A dear child has many names... Like the car says on the back it's a Lada Niva 4x4, but in true Sovjet tradition the cars were also given a specific name where the factory and model was specified: VAZ 214. It depends on the country with which name it was marketed. Interestingly when i googled VAZ 214 the first sites that popped up were in Spanish.
What I would like to know is why it was given the name Niva (in addition/to replace its model name), as a non-numeric model name for these cars is quite rare, and if Niva means something neat in Russian?

I'm sorry, but can anybody help me with finnish to english translation of the article about this finnish Mosvitsh Elite Turbo Sleeper which are selling at nettiauto.com? Pleaseeeee
There are all very simply.
This car has a tires with ultralow pressure. The wheels are driven with help of the friction-gear from the little wheel which are placed between two big wheels. Of course, there are all wheel drive. Turning right or left doing with help of the hinged chassis.
Sorry for my english
I see. Thank you for explaining.
Your English is fine.
I always sort of liked Volgas, myself. Good looking little cars.
