    NIva means more or less: soil, field, cornrow. And it wasn't unusual for Soviet cars to get normal names in addition to alphanumerical ones. Think about Volga, Tchaika, Pobieda, Zhiguli, Samara, Oka. All are type designations, although often mistaken for makes.

    Not new..... 2-3 years old....
    Not V8 - 2,3 litres, 4 cylinders
    This is re-styled GAZ-3110, just an designer's exercise....

    What do you think of this?
    Some degree project by Ilya Avakhov - ZIL Parade Concept. As for me, I think it looks rather good, and very brutal, which is, IMO, only an advantage for a parade car.
