With proper tyres there is NOT a problem.

I've driven a Volvo in Norway in ice/snow on studded tyres. Again no problem.

All the industry hype for 4WD isn't the only solution
LOL! First day of F*****G snow here today
I would actually prefer a Volvo on snow.. 85 240 TIC maybe..
with LSD and some proper studs it`s way more fun to drive than any 4WD..
But I asume 95% of members her actually don`t know how it is to drive on snow and ice.. No offence ment .. But when the snow is here 4 to 6 months a year.. you learn quite well to get through the snow in any car...

All British people know how to drive in snow:

At sight of snow flakes, slow to 1mph, report to media who will then proceed to convince the nation that a mere flurry is akin to "the Day After Tomorrow"*.

Everyone will then proceed to leap in their cars, speed to the nearest motorway, then stop and complain to some reporters about how they're going to be forced to sleep in their car all night, and they might die from cold, and why isn't the government doing more to help.

    * What an awful film. Oh, yes it's cold enough to freeze a helicopter engine running at 200°C solid, but not the people inside it .
    Thanks for all the fish

Anyway, I was merely referring to the fact that in the good old days Range Rovers were actually for farming. They were useful. All the local farmers used to have Range Rovers when I was a kid. And yes, you could use them for anything. Nowadays they are simply polluting and clogging our cities and acting as "bling" - farmers can't even afford them and the idiots that buy them don't even need them.

I'll keep my current car, works fine in snow, even with shit tires. we had 1 day this year with 50 cm of snow... and driving in the snow is big fun imo.
