how did i know that someone would post this , i figured after my posts that someone from the military might come on and say their top speed with afterburners

and by that, i'm not saying your're in the military or that concords are used by the military

No I'm not, never have been and Concorde's have never been used for military purpose ( perhaps more the pity )

10th wedding anniversary, she got romantic Paris weekend and I got to fly there in Concorde - a win-win as far as we were both concerned
( and before some wag comments, it was me on the romantic weekend )

No idea, I'm not really a plane person I just happened to have gone on this particular excursion, where a couple buddies and I got to take off, fly around a bit, and then land. Naturally, there was a professional pilot with us instructing, and he's the guy that told me the approximate speed.

well i got into the flying about 2 years ago now when i was pretty dead set on joining the air force.....i clocked up about 10 hours of flying over about 20 weeks and got to stalling practise, then my dad pulled me out of it. i'd say it was a Cessna 182 if you took a couple of friends with you, the 152's are only 2 seaters

I surpose it wouldn't be too bad of a job being a pilot but you'd probaly get a numb arse all of the time.

well that could be an issue i suppose, but i never experienced it and i was flying for over an hour at a time, but still thats nothing that some of the 747's could do. but with all the attention now on deep vein thrombosis or whatever its called that causes the blood clots, i wouldnt be surprised if pilots can get pants that every so often electrocute their arse and legs
