    Jensen C-V8

    Jensen C-V8

In the late 50s Richard Jensen was searching for a successor of the Type 541.
The demand of more power, luxus and prestige was there. The new chief-ingenieur Kevin Beattie built the new car and it was shown as the Jensen C-V8 in 1962.
The bizarre designed bodywork was again made from plastic. The chassis was very expensive because of its massive stealframe.
The good road performance was a result of the new engine, a Chrysler-5.9-liter-8-cylinder with automatic-transmission.

There were 3 types of the C-V8:
Mk I was built 68 times between November 1962 and November 1963.
Mk II was built 250 times between October 1963 and July 1965, 8 of them were LHD and 7 had a manual-transmission.
Mk III was built 181 times between June 1965 and December 1966. Only 2 of them were LHD.

This car was pictured at this years Westfalen Lippe Classic in Harsewinkel/Germany

Nice, although I've never had the chance to see one in person, I've always liked the looks of this one for some reason.
