It follows the story of a Japanese guy who steals money from the Yakuza in order to go to Australia and buy his dream car, which he always refers to as "My Goddess". Kinda sureal, but a good film... a crime/adventure/romance/road trip escapade. Check it out.

The car is one of those odd shades popular in the '60s, sorta pumpkin colored.
    Really looked very nice.

Ooops, sorry, the title is The Goddess of 1967, here's a link:

Of course you have realised where the word Goddess comes from?
DS is pronounced in French as De-esse, which means goddess...

    I have a question.
Why does the DS Break have two license plates at the back?
I once knew it but my biological harddisk has some failures I think.

The best though is to know that it was presented in 1955... Would have loved to be there.

It is to allow you to drive with the tail gate down and yet still have the number plate visible.

Re the DS in movies, one of them gets trashed in the recent Da Vinci code movie.

Nice pics Piaki - are they your DSs? I had a Brun Scarabee DS23 first, but it was so rusty I returned it to the vendor. Do you go to the 50th anniversary?

    Citroen DS for Hire?

    Hi,

I would like to hire a citroen DS for a wedding in Co. Clare for May 2007 - just for a couple of hours, and am having difficulty in getting one. Does anyone know if this is possible?

    Thanks a mill,

    Mac

PM me your mobile number and/or email address and I can forward your request to a list of DS owners in Ireland. I won't be able to do it myself due to family commitments.

I love the physical appearance of the Citroen DS because the design is beautiful as well as radical, futuristic and very interesting.

I saw a commercial/advertisment for the new Honda CR-V. You can see a beautiful Citroen DS in the commercial. Who has seen this?

It's bugging me - anyone have any idea what this special-bodied DS is called? I think it was made in the 1980s.
