    Delahaye 235

    Delahaye 235

The very last Delahaye model appeared in 1951, and it was based on the proven technology form the 135 MS. The cylinder head was reworked, and again with three Solex carburetors the inline six engine now produced 152 bhp, giving a 180 kph topspeed. The car could be delivered as a rolling chassis, allowing famous carrossiers to again build interesting versions, as was shown by Chapron, Vandenplas and Le Tourneur and Marchand.

Delahaye stopped its activities in 1955, and by that time 83 235s had left the factory.

Shown here is a 235 with a Figoni body, presented at the 2003 Concours d’Elegance in Schwetzingen.
